Spirit

January 2012

Regarding our fully new model SPIRIT, I`d like to share our plans.
Two proto-types are currently being tested thoroughly. One Duette is used at Klaus Thompson`s (WBC 2006) Coffee Collective new bar in Copenhagen for some months now. Klaus certainly puts his Spirit to the test with pumping out 1.000 cups a day (on a 2-group!). A rough and raw unpainted Triplette was installed start of December 2011 at Gwilym Davies (WBC 2009) espresso bar Prufrock in London. Feed back from these highly professional baristas helps us to improve and fine tune the machine at an early stage. The next step is to produce a series of pre-production machines. This series will consist of Bastone version only, both in Duette (2-group) and Triplette (3-group)version. Bastone means a small spring loaded lever to activate and stop the brewing process. The illuminated rear panel may be equipped with your logo or decoration. On this pre-production series only we offer this option at no extra cost, when supplied correctly. For all further technical information please see the Spirit chapter at this site. This pre-production series will last approx. the first half of 2012. During these months development will proceed to realize a touch-pad version and several options. Among the options we are considering: cool steam wands, an energy saving low temperature during the night, huge progressive pre-infusion cylinders that also allow some pressure profiling, barista adjustable jets. Some of these new options will be retro-fittable, others will not.
